“Awesome” is a seven-piece, absurdist, indie-prog band with roots in theatre and sketch comedy.
Formed in the town of Seattle in 2004 AD, “Awesome”’s first public performance was at Annex Theatre on Feb 6th of that very year.
Since then, they’ve played lots of clubs and made lots of weird theatre shows. They’ve also created more than eight albums.
Between the seven members, there are dense harmonies and an altogether unnecessary number of instruments including drums, guitar, banjo, accordion, theremin, sax, clarinet, mandolin, trumpet, keyboard, bass, and occasionally office machines.
The quotes are part of the name. And so are you.
Sounds like: They Might be Giants, Yes, The Beatles
